Abstract: Medical fear is a common psychological response for children in hospital environments, which affects them in many aspects, including physiology, psychology and therapeutics. This article introduced common assessment tools for children's medical fear, summarized the main content, assessment methods, target populations and development of assessment tools. It is expected to facilitate clinical nursing staff to understand the assessment tools, and to promote the selection and application of assessment tools for children's medical fear.
