Abstract: This paper reviews the development status of ICU infection control nurses and the five professional value roles (educator, manager, liaison, monitor, researcher), and proposes thoughts and inspirations for the development of ICU infection control nurses in China, including paying attention to their clinical value, clarify their roles and functions, improve their training and assessment system, thereby providing reference for the future construction of domestic infection control nurse talent team, and better playing the role of ICU infection control nurses in hospital infection prevention and control, with a view to effectively. It provides a basis for reducing the incidence of hospital infections in the ICU, improving the survival outcomes of ICU patients, and further leading China hospital infection prevention and control towards a professional development track.
