Abstract: Our hospital used wireless network, handheld terminals, and bar code technology to carry out operation safety check in all aspects of the perioperative period. We realized patients' identification and operation safety information check before, during and after the operation, constructed the compulsive verification mechanism of operative patients,surgical site, and surgical instruments, ensured the in place implementation of surgical safety verification system, achieved the traceability system of overall process of the opertion, ensured the safety of operation, and improved the nurses' work efficiency.
