Abstract: Though short of nursing personnel,magnet hospital can attract nurses, reduce the rate of dimission, own high quality nursing staffs and provide good nursing service. The quality of nursing leadership is one of the 14 magnet hospital characteristics. By understanding nursing leadership, the impact of nursing leadership and the cultivation of nursing leadership in American magnet hospitals, the author ponder on the current situation of Chinese nursing leadership and put forward his advice.
