Abstract: Early postoperative ambulation for Adolescent Idiopathic Scoliosis (AIS) patients undergoing posterior fusion surgery can promote the recovery of respiratory, gastrointestinal, musculoskeletal and other multi-system functions, and help prevent lung infection, pressure injury and deep venous thrombosis of lower limbs. This article reviews the timing, content, effects, influencing factors and existing problems of early postoperative ambulation in patients with AIS, so as to provide a reference for clinical medical staff to safely and effectively guide early postoperative ambulation in patients with AIS and related research.
