Abstract: Objective: To evaluate the application effects of "Tree of Life" collective narrative practice in family caregivers of hospice care and provide practical basis for the care work development of caregivers. Methods: A total of 76 family caregivers of advanced cancer patients receiving hospice care at a tertiary Grade A tumor specialist hospital in Urumqi from January 2023 to June 2023 were randomly divided into control group (n=37) and experimental group (n=39). The experimental group adopted the collective narrative practice of "Tree of Life" on the basis of the control group, while the control group adopted routine admission education and psychological nursing. The Anticipated Grief Scale (AGS), Herth Hope Index (HHI) and Quality of Life Scale for Family Caregivers with Life-threatening Diseases (QOLLTI-F) were used to evaluate the intervention effects before and after intervention. Results: After intervention, the scores of HHI and QOLLTI-F in the experimental group were higher than those in the control group, and the scores of AGS were lower than those in the control group, with statistically significant differences between the two groups (P<0.05). Conclusion: The collective narrative practice of "Tree of Life" can effectively reduce the expected sadness of caregivers, which is conducive to increasing the level of hope and quality of life of family caregivers.
