Abstract: Objective: To investigate the status quo of pain empathy among clinical nurses in Anhui province and analyze its influencing factors. Methods: Totally 9900 nurses in Anhui province were recruited using cluster stratified sampling method from June to July 2023, and surveys were conducted using the general information questionnaire, pain management knowledge and attitude questionnaire, pain empathy scale, and knowledge sharing behavior scale. Results: A total of 9186 nurses participated in the surrey, and the score of pain empathy was 3.10±0.78. Multiple linear regression analysis results found that title, education, pain related training, and knowledge-sharing behaviors influenced nurses' pain empathy (P<0.05). Conclusion: The pain empathy of nurses in Anhui province is overall at a high level, however, some nurses still need to improve their pain empathy level. Nursing managers should improve nurses' pain management knowledge, and knowledge sharing behavior, and promote nurses' pain empathy ability.
