Abstract: Objective: To design and applicate the urgent package processing software, and to evaluate the effects of this software on the processing time of urgent items and employee satisfaction. Methods: A total of 334 packages of urgent packages from September to October 2019 were selected as the control group with traditional emergency treatment mode, and 433 packages of urgent packages from July to August 2020 were selected as the observation group with urgent package processing software in the quality traceability system of Central Sterile Supply Department. Results: The processing time of pressure steam sterilization urgent package, hydrogen peroxide low temperature plasma sterilization urgent package and foreign medical equipment urgent package was shortened (P<0.05), and the staff satisfaction was improved after using urgent package processing software (P<0.05). Conclusion: The urgent package processing software can effectively shorten the urgent processing time and improve employee satisfaction, and it facilitates the realization of whole-process management.
