Abstract: Objective: To study the incidence and the influencing factors of frailty in elderly inpatients in medical ward. Methods: Totally 320 elderly inpatients in a tertiary grade A hospital in Beijing from March 2019 to April 2021 were recruited. The general information questionnaire, frailty risk factors questionnaire and Fried frailty phenotype assessment tool were used for data collection. Logistic regression analysis was used to analyze the influencing factors of frail. Results: The incidence of frailty in elderly inpatients was 53.5%. Logistic regression analysis showed that lower ADL score, nutritional risk, physical disfunction and decreased serum albumin were independent risk factors for frailty (P<0.05). Conclusion: The frailty is popular in elderly inpatients, and the occurrence of frailty is affected by various factors.
