The management of nausea and vomiting symptoms induced by chemotherapy in gynecological cancer patients

Abstract: Objective: To explore the management model of chemotherapy-induced nausea and vomiting symptoms in gynecological cancer patients. Methods: A special management team was set up to manage the chemotherapy-induced nausea and vomiting symptoms of patients. Totally 484 gynecological cancer patients with chemotherapy was included from July to December, 2018, and standardized symptom management measures combining drug therapy and non-drug intervention was implemented. Results: After intervention, the risk of chemotherapy-induced nausea and vomiting in patients was lower (P<0.05), the incidence of moderate and severe nausea and vomiting was lower (P<0.05), and the satisfaction of patients was improved than before (P<0.05). Conclusion: Standardized management measures of chemotherapy-induced nausea and vomiting symptoms was benefit to improve the experience of gynecological cancer patients during chemotherapy.
