Abstract: Objective: To investigate the current status and difference of pregnancy stress between first-time and second-time pregnant women. Methods: A total of 591 pregnant women (first-time and the second-time pregnant women)were investigated with Maternal Stress Scale. Results: ①Both stress levels were at moderate level, there was no difference in the general score and all pressure factors between both of them. ②The first stressor of both of them was worrying about the maternal and neonatal health and safety, followed by worrying about the neonatal care and free time decrease after the labor. ③The influence factor of stress in first-time pregnant women was relationship with parents-in-laws, accounted for 34.1%. The influence factors of stress in second-time pregnant women were relationship with husbands, gender expectation of the second baby, accounted for 45.7%. Conclusion: Both pregnant women may have different pressure sources. It is suggested to provide different relief measures for different pregnant women.
