Abstract: We reviewed the concept of illness acceptance, evaluation tools and research status and found that the level of illness acceptance was affected by many factors, such as demographic, disease, social and psychological factors. There was still no specific targeted intervention except psychological therapy. In addition, the development of localized assessment tools and exploring the specific interventions are the research focuses in this area in the future.
