Abstract: Objective: To construct a risk assessment based checklist of graded bereavement support intervention strategies for primary family caregivers, guiding nurses to provide bereavement care for primary family caregivers. Methods: Based on a thorough literature review, a list of graded bereavement support intervention strategies for primary family caregivers was constructed. The Delphi method was used to consult 17 experts, and the content of the list was modified, added, and deleted according to their scores on the importance and feasibility of items and their opinions. Results: Two rounds of expert consultations were conducted, and the final "Risk Assessment Based Graded Bereavement Support Strategies Checklist" was established, including 2 first-level indicators, 7 secondary-level indicators, and 22 tertiary-level indicators. 18 indicators were applied to all bereaved caregivers, and the other 4 indicators were only applied to caregivers on high bereavement risk. The response rates of 2 rounds were both 100%; the familiarity coefficient, judgment basis coefficient, and authority coefficient of expert consultation were 0.88, 0.93, and 0.91 respectively. Conclusion: The risk assessment based graded bereavement support strategies checklist has good scientific, feasible, applicable, practical, systematic, and targeted characteristics, and can provide standardized and convenient practical guidance for clinical nurses.
