Abstract: Objective: To explore the effects of interventions based on well-being PERMA model on subjective well-being of parents of children and adolescents with type 1 diabetes and their cooperation and support to children. Methods: A convenient sampling method was used to select two units in a tertiary Grade A hospital in Gansu Province. Eighty T1DM children or adolescents and their parents who met the inclusion criteria were selected and then assigned to the control group (40 cases) and the experimental group (40 cases). Parents in the control group were given routine care, while the parents in the experimental group were given a well-being PERMA nursing intervention besides routine care. The score of the Collaborative Parent Involvement scale (CPI) of patients and Index of Well-being (IWB) of parents were evaluated before and after the intervention. Results: Before the intervention, there were no statistically significant differences between the two groups in general information, the score of Collaborative Parent Involvement scale and IWB. After intervention, the score of CPI and IWB in the experimental group were statistically higher than those in the control group (P<0.05). Conclusion: Well-being PERMA nursing interventions on parents can improve the CPI and IWB of parents with children of T1DM.
