Abstract: Objective: To compare the predictive effects of Pauda, Caprini, and Autar thrombus risk assessment scales on the risk of Venous Thromboembolism (VTE) in patients with Nephrotic Syndrome. Methods: A total of 287 hospitalized patients diagnosed with Nephrotic Syndrome in the Department of Nephrology at a tertiary grade A hospital in Beijing from January 2018 to March 2023 were recruited. A total of 51 patients diagnosed with VTE, and 236 patients without VTE (non-VTE group). Three risk assessment scales were used to assess the thrombus risk, and Receiver Operation Characteristic (ROC) curves were drawn for comparative prediction. Results: The optimal diagnostic thresholds for the Pauda, Caprini, and Autar scales were 0.5 points, 3.5 points, and 5.5 points, respectively. The area under the ROC Curve (AUC) was 0.613, 0.701, and 0.623, respectively. Conclusion: All three scales can predict the risk of VTE in Nephrotic Syndrome to a certain extent, with the Caprini, Autar, and Pauda scales ranking in order of predictive ability from high to low.
