Abstract: Objective: To summarize the best evidence for the postpartum follow-up management of patients with gestational diabetes. Methods: We systematically searched the computer decision-making system, websites of major guidelines and professional institutes, evidence-based literature repositories, and major databases to collect relevant clinical decisions, guidelines, systematic reviews, evidence summaries, expert consensuses and original articles published from January 2010 to December 2023. Two researchers independently evaluated the quality of the included literature to extract and summarize the best evidence. Results: A total of 18 articles were included, including 3 clinical decisions, 8 guidelines, 5 systematic reviews, 1 randomized controlled trial, 1 expert consensuses to obtain 20 pieces of best evidence from 4 aspects, including the necessity of follow-up, the content of follow-up management, the barriers to implement follow-up, and ways to promote follow-up. Conclusion: This study summarizes the best evidence on postpartum follow-up of patients with gestational diabetes to provide a scientific and standardized basis for the follow-up management of these patients.
