Abstract: As one of the popular programming languages in recent years, Python has an open-source, free, and rich third-party library, which nursing scholars can choose and use according to different needs. This paper aims to introduce the characteristics of Python language and its application status in nursing research field, such as web spider, data preprocessing, machine learning, statistical analysis, and network programming, and put forward the future application prospect. It is expected to provide a reference for the use and development of Python language in nursing research field.
