Abstract: Objective: To explore the virtual reality rehabilitation experience of patients with motor dysfunction after ischemic stroke. Methods: The objective sampling method was applied. Totally 12 patients with motor dysfunction after ischemic stroke who participated in virtual reality rehabilitation training were interviewed face-to-face in a semi-structured manner. Colaizzi phenomenological analysis was performed to analyze the interview data. Results: Totally three themes were summarized: perceived benefits of virtual reality rehabilitation, perceived obstacles of virtual reality rehabilitation, and needs of virtual reality rehabilitation for stroke patients. Conclusion: In the patients with motor dysfunction after ischemic stroke, virtual reality rehabilitation has significant benefits. In the future, nursing managers should pay more attention to strengthening the guidance for rehabilitation projects, reducing the sense of fatigue and fear of patients, and improving the mode of virtual reality rehabilitation.
