Abstract: This article introduced the development history and current status of integrated care in mechanical ventilator-dependent patients in Taiwan area, including the original background, connotation construction, implementation process and achievements. Its experience and enlightenment could provide references for the development of continuous care of chronic diseases, case management and discharge planning in Chinese mainland.
