Abstract: Objective: To evaluate the reliability and validity of the Chinese version of Liverpool Oral Rehabilitation Questionnaire 3 (LORQv3). Methods: The Chinese version of LORQv3 questionnaire was translated strictly following the Brislin questionnaire translation-back model. The reliability and validity of LORQv3 were analyzed in 257 patients with denture restoration. Results: The LORQv3 was revised according to Chinese culture. The questionnaire consists of 39 items, which were divided into 2 parts. The first part had 16 scoring items, involving oral function, facial appearance and social interaction. The second part had 23 description items, which were not included in the total score, involving social contact and patients' satisfaction with dentures. The I-CVI and S-CVI of LORQv3 was 0.83-1.00 and 0.978, respectively. The Pearson correlation coefficient between LORQv3 and the total score of the Chinese Oral Health Impact Profile was 0.827 (P<0.001).The internal consistency coefficients of LORQv3 ranged from 0.786 to 0.886, the reliability of the split were 0.648 to 0.856, and the reliability of retest was 0.949. Conclusion: The Chinese version of LORQv3 had good reliability and validity, and can be used in Chinese patients with denture restoration.
